Zakat ul Fitr, is $10 per person this year, and is obligatory on every Muslim who has the financial means before the Eid al-Fitr prayer.
The term "Fitr" means "breaking the fast," linking this charity specifically to the conclusion of Ramadan. Its primary purposes are spiritual purification, assisting the poor, and strengthening community bonds.
The Khutmah Quran will be on the evening of Tuesday, March 17th.
Iftar will be served through March 17th.
No iftar on Wednesday (March 18) or Thursday (March 19) night.
Eid will be on Friday, March 20th.
Please note that the Hasnain Center will be closed on Friday for Eid.
